Lace notebooks

Hello, peeps! It’s Deco Tuesday again and, as always, we bring to you something cute and simple that will be really beautiful: LACE PATTERNED NOTEBOOKS.

Picking out new notebooks can be tricky. Sometimes you want to look grown up and stuff, but the only ones you find have One Direction on the cover (they are quite awesome, to be honest). Or, if you’re not that girly, you’ll always find notebooks with butterflies, flowers and pink everywhere!!!! Don’t worry, the lace patterned notebooks are your life saver.

You probably think is a difficult technique, but it is much easier than you think. You will need:
  •  Notebook (obviously)
  • A piece of lace fabric big enough to cover your notebook. There are TONS of different designs, LET YOUR CREATIVITY DECIDE.
  • Spray paint of any color (they look great in any color, but we recommend black ‘cause it looks fancy & classy)
  • Scissors
  • Some kind of tape
  • And a trash bag or some plastic to protect the are you’ll be working on

1. First, you need to decide if you want to cover all the notebook or just add the pattern to a specific area of it.
2. Once you’ve decided, cut your lace fabric slightly larger than the are you want to cover.
3. Tape the lace to the insides of the front page. Make sure the lace is really secured, so you don’t make a smudged mess on your notebook.
4. Place the trash bag or plastic to cover the area you’ll be painting your notebook. Also, put some plastic between the front cover and the pages to prevent  painting the pages. You don’t want that.
5. Now you can spray paint the notebook. Make sure you cover all the are you want to be patterned.
6. Once the paint begins to dry, you can slowly remove the tape in order to take away the lace.
7. Let your notebook dry for a couple of hours before using it.

What a better way to go back to school than having these notebooks?! Everyone will love them! Plus, they’ll think you really tried when you didn’t try at all hahaha.

The best thing of this technique is that you can apply it almost to everything! Notebooks, tables, canvas (they look extremely good on walls), any piece of clothes (just make sure your paint is fabric spray paint), etc. YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF IMAGINATION AND THE AMOUNT OF LACE PATTERNED PROJECTS IS ENDLESS.

And, this is where this Deco Tuesday post comes to an end :( But don’t worry, tomorrow there’s a Beauty Wednesday post, YAY! Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and all that stuff. Also, leave your comments down below. Thank you!

Have a lovely day!
