Lip Balms: lifesavers

Hey, peeps! It’s Beauty Wednesday again. And today we’re here to talk about … lip balms! We think it is a product you must have at any time, whether you like makeup or not.

And you’re probably wondering why we think that. Well, it is because lip balm is probably one of the best beauty products ever invented? Yes, yes it is. It moisturizes your lips, preventing them from being dry or chapped. Lip balm also helps healing your lips once you’ve got them chapped.  

There are tons of brands that have their own lip balms. Some of the most known brands with lip balms are:

Baby Lips by Maybelline

Burt's Bee

Carmex 

Chapstick

EOS

Nivea

Vaseline

And the best thing is that you can actually choose your lip balm from kabillion options. Seriously, they’ve got scented, colored, scented & colored, non-scented &  non-colored. Pick your fave, ladies!

Lip balms are lifesavers, no doubt. Especially those with SPF for the hot summer days. Or just to protect them any day, the sun is getting hotter every day or something, hahaha.  

Gee's been having problems with chapped lips since winter, blame New York's windy weather, and have been trying a WHAT amount of them. We’re not even kidding, last week when we went out, she was carrying, like, 3 on her purse. And Oddie can’t stop wearing lip balm ‘cause her lips start chapping, they’re used to it now. So, here's a little review, we hope it helps you choose the one that's better for your lips!

1. Cherry Chapstick. It does not only smells good, but it gives your lips a natural cherry color. Only bad thing, it can feel like too much on your lips. And really greasy.
2. Cherry Carmex SPF 15 stick. Same thing, it can feel greasy. But it protects your lips from the sun, which is good.
3. Classic Carmex tube. It doesn't feel greasy and it's really easy to apply. It gives your lips a minty sensation that feels SO good.
4. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula: Dark Chocolate & Cherry stick. The smell can be really annoying from time to time, personally can't stand it, but it's the one that works the best. Your lips definitely feel softer after one application.
5. Kiehl's lip balm tube. Their consistency is more liquid, but not sticky. Their coverage doesn't last that much, tho. They smell amazingly great! Personal fave: mango. Some of them even have SPF 15.
6. The Body Shop's honey lip balm. We find it great, the only con is that you need to stick your finger in the little pot! So, you definitely need to have your hands as clean as possible before applying it. But it is amazing, really.

We’re definitely gonna still try as many lip balms as possible, so we can write more reviews and recommend them to you, beautiful people. And, well, that’s just another excuse to do a little shopping, yay!

Inner beauty is more important

Hello, everyone! It’s Beauty Wednesday again, and earlier today we realised we haven’t written a post about the most important kind of beauty: inner beauty. So, we decided to give it a go today!

We all know that outer beauty is an important component in almost everyone’s life. But inner beauty is way more important. Why? Because it’s totally important to be ok on the outside, but also on the inside!

Inner beauty is one of our most powerful features. If you’ve got enough inner beauty, you can seriously be the most powerful human being! For real, inner beauty consists of being a good person in general. You know, being kind, honest, polite and all that stuff. Everyone can have inner beauty, we just need to be good to others.

There are tons of amazing quotes about this topic. And we’ll share our favorites with you, beautiful people.

Make up, clothes and accessories are great, yeah. But they won’t last forever, remember it! Your personality will always be remembered and it will be with you until the last of your days. Great bodies and beautiful faces are ok, but great & beautiful personalities are way too better! You’ll live a nicer life if you start thinking this way.

If there are days where you ask yourself stuff like “why am I not like her?”, “I wish I was as pretty as that person”, remember: you are you and there’s nothing greater than that. Embrace who you are! Be confident and happy in your own skin! You’re all beautiful, no matter what society says.

Luke Hemmings inspired OOTD

Hey, beautiful people! It's Luke Hemmings' birthday in our side of the planet! Yay! If you read yesterday's Deco Tuesday post, you probably know we wanted to write a Luke Hemmings: DIY because of being his birthday. Yes, something's wrong with our brains, we know. So, we thought "well, if it's not a DIY, maybe we can write about a Luke inspired look and OOTD!". Yeah, this sounds way better than the Luke Hemmings: DIY, hahaha, right? Let's begin!

So, if you don't know already, Luke's style is pop-rock-punk. Yes, for real. So you can bring that edgy & rocky side of you for rocking this super cool outfit. If it's not really your style, you can try if for a day, maybe you'll feel and look great in it. C'mon, give it a try!

There are three basic things you NEED to have in order to accomplish this look:

  

1. Band shirts/tank tops.

We really think Luke’s closet is full of these kind of shirts. He loves to rock out his favorite bands like Nirvana, Green Day, The Misfits, and many more.

2. Black skinny jeans.

Yeah, as simple as that. Personally, we think is an essential for everyone. If you don't have a pair of these, we're judging you for the rest of your life. And, FYI, the older and more ripped, the better. Hahaha. Alright, but what if you don't have or like black skinny jeans? You can replace them with black leggins.

3. Black Vans

We don’t know about you, but we are huge fans of anything that doesn’t include heels hahaha. So, these are one of the comfiest shoes and you can match them with pretty much everything. And again, what if you don't have black Vans? Well, you can wear any black pair of sneakers, tbh, like Converse. Or even black boots. It'll look awesome.

Now, apart from the basic trio we just mentioned, there are some other things you can wear. 

• Plaid flannels
• Leather jacket.

• A bunch of bracelets.

• Plain shirts and tank tops.
• The classic black Chuck Taylor’s.
• Beanies.
• Sunglasses.

• Something with a penguin on it. You know, Luke loves penguins, hahaha.

• Studded shorts or jeans.
• And if you're REALLY feeling it, you can even rock a piercing. But please, notice mom & dad before doing it. We don't want to cause any trouble. If they don’t let you, don’t worry, there are fake ones you can definitely rock and they'll look as cool as the real ones ;)
