Little changes in The Nameless Blog

Hello, friends! It's Tuesday again and we have a little announcement for you.

As you may know,  on Tuesdays we normally write about DIY projects or craftsy stuff. We call them out Deco Tuesdays, we decided it the day we created the bog. But as we started writing the posts for you, we found it hard to choose something to write about. Yes, turns out we’re not as creative in this area as we thought we were, hahaha.

That’s why we decided to leave this day of the week to write whatever topic comes to our minds. But don’t worry, if we have something DIY or craft related, we will post it on Tuesdays. So, you will get some Deco Tuesdays!

Cope with us hahaha, we’re still on summer break and we’ll be back to school soon. UGH. We need to figure out how in the world are we going to daily blog. Hahaha, anyway, yeah.

We hope you get us and still support us after this mini change. Keep in mind it is for everyone’s best, this way, you won’t get a boring post or something like that.

Thanks :)

We love you, x.

Spray painted shoes

Hey, peeps! It’s time for a Deco Tuesday post. And we thought it might be a good idea to write a Luke Hemmings: DIY because, well, it’s Luke’s birthday tomorrow. The boy is turning 18 (he’s already 18 in Australia and Europe, WOOOO! Haha he’s now a big boy). Then, we realized our minds may be a little affected by these 4 Aussies. Well, yes, maybe a lot. Blame 5SOS, not us. So, we started thinking of proper ideas for the post. No, not this one, no, this one could be, but we weren’t thinking of anything good. We haven’t done any cool DIYs lately, so that was not an option either. Then we thought of spray painted shoes, yeah, why not?

What’s the huge deal about spray painted shoes? Well, let us tell you. If you have an old pair of shoes (you know you do) and they are your favorite ones in this life, but they aren’t as bright or black or shiny as they used to, YOU NEED TO DO THIS. It’s a life saver, really.

You can spray paint them in so many different ways that you’ll want to do this with all your pair of shoes. You can spray paint all the shoe, just the tip, just the heel or the sole, the ideas are infinite.

Beside, you can use paint of the original color of your shoe and they’ll look just like when you bought them, nice & shiny. Or you can use a new color, like neons, bright or metallic colors, to give them a  new & different look, which means NEW SHOES. We guarantee. It’s an awesome way of reinventing your wardrobe.

Just remember to:

  • Spray paint preferably outside, the smell of the paint may be a bit strong for doing it on the inside of your room or house.
  • Protect with plastic or newspaper the area you’re gonna be working on. Mom doesn’t want you to paint her table or something.
  • If you don’t want to paint the whole shoe, use masking tape or any kind of tape you find around home to cover the areas you don’t want to paint. Also, make sure the tape you will be using won’t damage your shoe.
  • Put some newspaper inside the shoe, so you don’t paint that area.
  • Make sure the color of your spray paint matches your shoe. We don’t want a DIY fail.
  • If the color of your shoe is a dark one and you’re not sure if the new color will see as bright as you want, first, spray paint a small area. If the color is not that bright, spray paint your shoe with white paint and then your chosen color.

We highly recommend this DIY if you’re up to wear some new shoes but without spending a lot of money on them. Plus, you can reuse some shoes you don’t wear anymore because of being not that nice.

That’s it for today, pals. If you try this out, please let us know via Twitter or Insta or whatever social network you want to use.

Bye-bye, have a nice day ;)

x

Lace notebooks

Hello, peeps! It’s Deco Tuesday again and, as always, we bring to you something cute and simple that will be really beautiful: LACE PATTERNED NOTEBOOKS.

Picking out new notebooks can be tricky. Sometimes you want to look grown up and stuff, but the only ones you find have One Direction on the cover (they are quite awesome, to be honest). Or, if you’re not that girly, you’ll always find notebooks with butterflies, flowers and pink everywhere!!!! Don’t worry, the lace patterned notebooks are your life saver.

You probably think is a difficult technique, but it is much easier than you think. You will need:
  •  Notebook (obviously)
  • A piece of lace fabric big enough to cover your notebook. There are TONS of different designs, LET YOUR CREATIVITY DECIDE.
  • Spray paint of any color (they look great in any color, but we recommend black ‘cause it looks fancy & classy)
  • Scissors
  • Some kind of tape
  • And a trash bag or some plastic to protect the are you’ll be working on

1. First, you need to decide if you want to cover all the notebook or just add the pattern to a specific area of it.
2. Once you’ve decided, cut your lace fabric slightly larger than the are you want to cover.
3. Tape the lace to the insides of the front page. Make sure the lace is really secured, so you don’t make a smudged mess on your notebook.
4. Place the trash bag or plastic to cover the area you’ll be painting your notebook. Also, put some plastic between the front cover and the pages to prevent  painting the pages. You don’t want that.
5. Now you can spray paint the notebook. Make sure you cover all the are you want to be patterned.
6. Once the paint begins to dry, you can slowly remove the tape in order to take away the lace.
7. Let your notebook dry for a couple of hours before using it.

What a better way to go back to school than having these notebooks?! Everyone will love them! Plus, they’ll think you really tried when you didn’t try at all hahaha.

The best thing of this technique is that you can apply it almost to everything! Notebooks, tables, canvas (they look extremely good on walls), any piece of clothes (just make sure your paint is fabric spray paint), etc. YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF IMAGINATION AND THE AMOUNT OF LACE PATTERNED PROJECTS IS ENDLESS.

And, this is where this Deco Tuesday post comes to an end :( But don’t worry, tomorrow there’s a Beauty Wednesday post, YAY! Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and all that stuff. Also, leave your comments down below. Thank you!

Have a lovely day!

Neon signs

Something we’re currently obsessed with is neon signs. What started as signs for restaurants, bars, pubs and many more establishments now is a trendy way to decor. We love the vibe that they give to any room, bedrooms in particular. They transmit this edgy and modern look to a room, YOU CAN LITERALLY GIVE A 360° CHANGE TO THE ROOM.

We’ve seen a lot of different ones, the majority of them are quotes and sayings. Some of them are people's names. Think about it, you can even put a neon sign with the name of your favorite singer, band, actor, actress, brand, whatever or whoever you think about! It could also be an image: ice creams, headphones, dogs, clouds, etc.

The most popular ones are the white, pink and red ones, but you can use your favorite color, because they all look amazing!!! Green, purple, blue, teal, the color options are endless.

There are tons of cool fonts for these signs, from the simple Arial to great cursive fonts. You just gotta give it your very own style using one of your favorite fonts.

And, of course, you're gonna need to turn it off at nights. It’s the same as with the Christmas lights, we don't want to cause a fire, another kind of accident or expensive energy bills. But you can have it on for a little while when you’re chilling in your room, when you have friends coming over or when you need a little light in your room/life to cheer you up :)

You just need to go to a place where they make this kind of things (like where they sell all kind of lighting for interiors and/or exteriors) and they’ll customize it for you! Obviously, prices will vary depending on the size, color and font.

This is it for today! We hope you like this and try using neon signs to decor your place, promise it will look great. Share pictures and comments with us on our social networks, we’ll be really happy to hear from you!

Have a lovely day, everyone.

Peace out, x.

Colors, colors

DECO TUESDAY IS HERE, EVERYBODY!

Hello again :) today we're gonna write about something reaaaally important in matter of room decoration: the colors. They are the base for you to feel comfortable at your room or place. Not the furniture, not the electronics, the colors.

Each color means something and causes different feelings and moods in us. Here we listed some colors and their meanings.

  • Green. Represents health, hope, balance, harmony, youth, nature and growth. Some people like to use this color in bedrooms, in order to have a revitalizing and calm place. This is because green is the most relaxing color to the human eye.
  • Blue. Blue is the color of sky and water, so it represents deep emotions, the infinite and dreaming. It's a cool color, so it turns the space into a fresh and relaxing room. It also represents wisdom and stability. Blue is the most relaxing color for both mind and body. Light blue means health & understanding, and dark blue is knowledge & truth.
  • Red. This color is full of energy, passion, desire and, sometimes, it encourages appetite. Red represents anger too. It’s stimulating, aggressive, motivating and draws A LOT of attention.
  • Purple/Violet. This color is usually related with imagination. It represents originality, individuality and spirituality. Even though it is an impractical color, it’s respectable and distinguished among colors. Light purple brings nostalgic & romantic feelings, and dark purple feel the place with sadness & melancholy. Violet is lack of tension and self control.
  • Pink. AAAHH, pink, it helps you reminding romance, love and friendship. It also provides the feeling of relax to the space. It makes you have friendly, soft & deep feelings. Toppings also makes you think of tenderness, affection and protection, because is reflects the lack of evil.
  • Yellow. We think of yellow and think of sunlight. It transmits warm, cheerfulness, energy and nice feels. Light yellow means intelligence and originality.
  • White. White is peace & unity symbol, and it's associated to light and goodness. If you want to have calm & harmony vibes, this color is the one. Besides, it represents perfection, innocence and neatness. Great color. Or lack of color. Or all colors together, well, white.
  • Orange. This color, like yellow, represents warm and cheerfulness. It gives vibes of joy, delight and vigor, so it provides you mental stimulation. Awesome

So, there you have it, a short list of colors and their meanings. Now, you know why you feel that way when you're in your room. And, if you are about to paint and decorate your room or place, now you can choose the right color for you!
