Traveling with friends

Hello, peeps! It’s Travel Thursday and it’s been a week since the tragic event of the flight MH17. You’re all still on our prayers.
In some other topic, today we’re going to write about TRAVELING WITH FRIENDS! We totally wanna give it a try, someday. It sounds like a really funny thing to do. Because, you know, traveling with you family is really good and, yeah, it can be totally fun. But traveling with people around your same age and with the similar interest sound cool, right?

The great thing about traveling with friends is that you have things in common so you can all go to the club or a beach and just have a nice time.

We have made some little trips ourselves with our group of friends. The trips weren’t to the farest places, but we definitely had a good time. We have gone to Six Flags and have done some camps together. Told you, it wasn’t a big deal, but it was amazing!

And we’re definitely up to do some big trip with our good friends. In fact, when we were about to graduate from high school, we were planning a trip to Orlando. We were planning to go to all the theme parks and stuff at Disney World and Universal Studios. But by that time, not all of us were old enough, according to our parents :( Some of us were still 17, including Oddie. Therefore, we didn’t make that trip, after all. But we’re looking forward to go somewhere now we’re older.

Important thing! You don’t need a lot of money to have a fun trip with your friends. Road tripping is always an option and, in our point of view, it’s better! You can get to know each other a little better while being adventurous, great memories that can’t be replaced!

At the end, it’s the people who matters and not the place. Keep that in mind, guys.

This post has came to an end. But, see you tomorrow with a Food Friday post. Don’t forget you can leave us your thoughts here in the comments or via social media. We’d love to hear from you!

Love you, x.

FUJI INSTAX MINI 8

Hi, people! We hope you’re all good :) So, it’s Travel Thursday again and we were thinking of not writing a post today, because we’re not feeling good & healthy. Gee’s got a serious cold and Oddie has a soft cervical collar. Yeah, we’re nothing but a bit sick. But then, we realized we really enjoy writing and that it makes us feel better, so here we go!

Today’s Travel Thursday post is going to be about… FUJI INSTAX MINI 8 :) We’re telling you, you will want one for your next trip! Imagine capturing all those incredible moments and having them instantly with you. Sounds good, right? Having a Fuji Instax Mini will allow you to save special moments experienced during vacations for the rest of your life. We know we’re in the digital era and all that crazy stuff, but stil, instant photos are beyond amazing.

Not only are they useful, but they are super cute. They are available in five different colors: black, white, yellow, blue and pink (the last three are pastel colors! Ah!). We can’t pick a favorite because they all look gorgeous. CAN WE HAVE ONE OF EACH COLOR, PLEASE?

The best thing about them are the mini pictures! 62x 46mm, to be exact. So, they they fit anywhere *cough* wallets *cough* and you can carry them around!!!

Another good thing about the Fuji Insta Mini 8 is that you can adjust the brightness for your photos!

That’s it for today, loves. Sorry if it was a bit short, but we’re not feeling well. We’re gonna get some rest right now, because tomorrow we’ve got a surprise party for one of our friends, and we need to feel good for that. So, see ya tomorrow with a Food Friday post! Remember you can stay in touch with us via social media or in the comments down below.

Have a nice day, peeps!

10 tips for packing

HI, LOVES! It's Travel Thursday again, yay! Just earlier today we were talking with our friends about doing a trip with all together. Imagine that? It'd be super fun. And, of course like every trip it would involve packing. So, we thought we should write this post about packing.

First of all, do NOT overpack. Us, women, tend to do it waaaaay more than men (don't know why, though, lol). It’s really hard to do it, being honest, but you definitely don’t want to carry stuff you won’t even use! So, we’re going to give you some tips to prevent this.

1. Check the local weather
You really want to know how’s the local weather like when you travel. Check it up before you start packing so you can pick out clothes according to it. You don't wanna have to wear summer clothes if the place you're going is cold or vice versa.

2. Pack a jacket or sweater
Even when it’s sunny during the day, it gets chilly at night, trust us. And if you’re going somewhere cold, then you’ll obviously need it! It is an essential.

3. Shoes: One pair is okay, two is perfect, three is troublesome
Let’s be honest, you’ll only wear two pairs of shoes while travelling. A good pair of casual shoes is needed, if they can be worn for a formal thing is even better, and you'll need sneakers too. Make sure you wear them before your trip, so you’re sure they don’t cause any blisters or anything that would make you feel miserable while walking.

4. Fancy, anyone?
Chances are that you will have to go to dinner or attend a show or a party or something a bit more formal and dressy! Be sure you pack a dress, a blazer or a button down, they’ll definitely make you look good and it would seem like you were always ready for the occasion.

5. Towels and toiletry stuff
Pack the lightest towel you have. Why? For starters, they won’t occupy too much space and if when it gets wet, it will dry quickly. It's doble winning.
Essentials: Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, hair brush. Nothing more.

6. Bring your camera
Memories demand to be captured. That is it.

7. Beauty
If you want to take your make up, perfume and hair products, be sure to put them in a separate bag. This way, they won’t break or spill all over your clothes. Remember to only pack the essentials, too.

8. Pricey suitcases
Don’t. Just, don’t. There’s no point. Seriously, people at the airports don’t treat them well at all hahaha. They get dirty or broken, and you’ll only get angry because they'll return your suitcases like old stuffed bags you an only find in your basement.

9. Tech
Chargers, headphones/earbuds and, most important, adapters! You don't want to have your chargers and not being able to actually use them. It's the worst thing ever, really. It happened to me, Oddie, when I went on a Spanish cruise. Not fun at all. Same happened to me, Gee, while I was in London. We were total losers. But, there are universal adapters, so you can change them according to the place you’re at. You're welcome.

10. Roll, don't fold.
You can really save space in your suitcases if you roll up your clothes instead of folding them. It's a great way to keep clothes in place. Plus, this way your clothes won't get all that ugly wrinkles we all hate. More time with Mr. Vacations, less time with the iron.

This is it for the latest Travel Thursday post. Hope we could help some of you with our tips on packing for vacations or any kind of trip. Don't forget to follow us on our social stuff, 'cause we would love to hear about y'all.

Have a lovely day!

Deuces.

Gee & Oddie's German Guide

Hello! It's Travel Thursday today!

We studied German in high school for about year and a half and we thought we could teach y'all a little bit of it, you know, in case you decide to go to Germany. And, just for the record, we DID learn a lot of things, but mainly things regarding school, animals and colors. Hahahaha. So bear with us. We guess you should read this in case you decide to go to Germany to talk about school, animals and colors. Who knows? It could be really useful (yeah, right). But, this is gonna be fun.

First we got the animals, we learned a bunch of animals in German. Our favorite animal in German is Papagei, which means parrot. And if you say der Papagei ist bun, it means the parrot is colorful. Yay! Obviously, you really needed to learn that. Also, you never know when you're gonna need a pen, so we will teach you how to say that. It is Kugelschreiber, mostly known -and easier to remember-as Kuli. There you have it, now you know one more word in German.

If you go to Germany, you probably won't need to write in German, but remember this: all nouns start with capital letter. ALL OF THEM. Just a little tip for you, (even if you're only gonna speak and not write in German).

Something that’s always helpful, especially when it comes to hotel rooms, phone numbers and saying the time…THE DIGIT NUMBERS.

One - eins           Six - sechs
Two - zwei           Seven - sieben
Three - drei          Eight - acht
Four - vier            Nine -  neun
Five - fünf             Ten - zehn

The days of the week are:

  • Saturday - Samstag
  • Sunday - Sonntag

Color are also important!
Bue - blau                        Pink -  rosa
Red - rot                          Orange - orange
Yellow - gelb                    Brown - braun
Green - grün                     Purple - lila
White - weiß                    Gray - grau
Black - schwarz

We also learned how to say a lot of countries in German:
  • Germany - Deutschland
  • USA - USA (die Vereignite Staaten)
  • Australia - Australien
  • Mexico - Mexiko
  • Belgium - Belgien
  • Canada - Kanada
  • Denmark - Dänemark
  • UK - das Vereignite Königreich
  • Japan - Japan
  • Spain - Spanien
  • Austria - Österreich
  • France - Frankreich
  • Norway - Norwegen
  • Switzerland - die Schweiz
  • India - Indien
  • Argentina - Argentinien
  • China - China
  • Ireland - Irland
  • Poland - Polen
  • Italy - Italien
  • Portugal - Portuga
  • Russia - Russland
  • Brazil - Brasilien

Congrats! Now you can say which country you come from.

And now, let’s get to the stuff you want to learn in case you go to Germany:

Goodbye - Auf Wiedersehen
Bye - Tschüss

I love you - Ich liebe dich (‘Cause it’s always helpful to know how to say I love you)

Some important words for traveling are:
