FOUR review

HELLO EVERYBODY! We know, we know, it’s been a pretty ducking while since we posted in here. But we’re back! *woop woop*. And you better be ready for us, because WINTER BREAK IS HERE! And that could only mean one thing: LOTS OF POSTS COMING YOUR WAY! 

We wanted to write a review on the new 1D’s album, FOUR, since it was released. But, due to our school activities, we just couldn’t find the time for it. But, here we go!

  1. Steal My Girl 

Na na na na na na. Such a cheesy song, but we love it. The piano on it is on point and the lyrics are so cute. And the video is really fun and lovely to watch, ‘cause the boys seem to be so happy and fully enjoying it! 

  2. Ready To Run 

Wherever you are is the place I belong. Oh, that beat, perfect for this song. Plus, the vocals and harmonies are beyond amazing. And to all that, add the message and, BOOM! Great song. Without you, I’ll never make it out alive. 

  3. Where Do Broken Hearts Go 

Did someone want a song about trying to get back your loved one? The boys from 1D nailed it again with this beautiful song. Wouldn’t you do anything to get back that love? And, did you notice the little changes in the beat throughout the song? They literally enhance the song.

  4. 18 

Ugh, Harry’s voice at the beginning, it’s not fair! It kills us, such a beautiful voice. And that guitar, it makes it such a warm song. Plus, we really enjoyed the change between the first verse and the rest of the song. Not to mention how lovely their voices sound together. Or the background vocals. Oh! And Louis’ solo sends chills down our spines. 

  5. Girl Almighty 

Let’s have another toast to the girl almighty. This is our jam. No joke. We feel like someone is writing song about our lives, hahaha. And it has such a happy vibe that it makes you wanna dance to it. 

  6. Fool’s Gold 

How do we even begin with this song? Every time we listen to it, we get the feelings, man. There are times in life when you fall for people who don’t necessarily love you back or those whose love doesn’t belong to anyone in particular, and this song portrays that exactly. Another warm song thanks to the guitar and the beat. Lyrics are perfect, their voices are perfect; the entire song is, wait for it, PERFECT.

  7. Night Changes 

So, this song. *sigh* Have you watched the video? It’s perfection. We won’t even start with that ‘cause we’d end up writing like 20 pages haha. But we totally love it! The harmonies throughout this song are really incredible, they give that retro vibe to the song, and they make it totally cool.

Oh! And, we’ve got a question, in the first verse when Zayn sings (amazingly great by the way) going out tonight, changes into something red, do you think it means: a) the girl changes into a red dress or b) the night changes drastically. Let us know down in the comments!!!! We’ve been asking this to ourselves for a while.

  8. No Control 

Ugh. That little voice thing they do with the first and last word of each first line. Staaaained coffee cuuuuup. Louis’ voice is SO on point in the chorus! We’ve all been in this situation, right? When you can’t help but like someone so much that it physically hurts?!! I’m all yours, I’ve got no control. Plus, Zayn singing that bridge, oh my. 

  9. Fireproof 

This was the first song we listened to, when One Direction let us download it for free a couple of months ago. We immediately knew we were going to love the album! The way Zayn reaches high notes is a dream. And again, they give us , beautiful, cool and retro harmonies. Who can resist to this song? It’s been so long, maybe we’re fireproof. 

  10. Spaces 

Dunno why, but this one reminds us a lot of Coldplay’s sound. Harry’s vocals at the end of this song, MAN. Honestly, this song brings out so many feelings. Like, there’s always people growing apart, but it’s never easy when you know someone’s walking out of your life. Who’s gonna be the first to say goodbye? That’s the real question here.

  11. Stockholm Syndrome 

If this song doesn’t make you stand up and dance, then we don’t know what will! This is more of an upbeat song and we love that. We remember this quote from Harry Potter when someone says: “you’re gonna suffer, but you’re gonna be happy about it”, and we think we can associate it with the song haha. Sometimes people or situations hold you back, but you end up liking it. Or them. Besides, it usually happens when you least expect it, so...

  12. Clouds 

Oh, man. These lyrics basically say: “you decided to walk out of my life, shame on you, I’m enjoying life”, lol. This is, like, the best break-up song ever, ‘cause it’s not just another one that makes you wanna sob about your relationship. Cheers on that! 

  13. Change Your Ticket 

This song reminds us a lot of Girls by The 1975, another on with a retro vibe, and it’s really good! I don’t wanna say goodbye. And we all have that person (or people), we wish we could spend some more time with! So, here you have another relatable song. 

  14. Illusion 

Such a cute song! I promise falling for me won’t be a mistake. The way they all sing the verses is just asdfghjkl. Like, that emphasis they give to the words is everything. 

  15. Once in a Lifetime 

There are things that don’t happen twice in life, so it’s better to make the most of it while we can. Beautiful message, right? And to that, you can add the amazing vocals, perfect harmonies and ideal speed of the song. 

  16. Act My Age 

This will definitely be our jam when we’re old ladies haha. I can count on you after all that we’ve been through, ‘cause I know you’ll always understand. We’re totally in love with the irish-y vibe it has, plus the whistles and piano. Damn. We don’t know about you, but it makes us wanna go to an Irish pub, get drunk and sing along with all of our friends.

Overall, we think this is One Direction’s best album so far and we are so in love with it! If you’re a fan, you’ll understand us. But if you’re not, give it a try and you’ll see these four guys are extremely talented and their music will amaze you.

Harry Styles

Hello, people from the World! It’s one of our top days of the week just because we get to write about our favorite industry! Yes, it’s time for a Heck Yeah, It’s Monday! post. And today we’re writing about, drumrolls please, MR. HARRY PERFECTION STYLES!

If you don’t know, Harry Styles is an aquarius born on February 1st, 1994. So, he’s 20 at the moment. He’s from a little town in England, but grew in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire along his family.

Harry’s parents, Des Styles and Anne Cox, got divorced when he was a child, but he has a great relationship with both of them. Last year, Anne married Robin Twist, who’s been supporting Harry since day one, too. They are incredibly nice people, loved by all the One Direction fans and they use social networks to keep in touch with them! They sound like pretty cool parents to us. He loves his mom to pieces!!! 

He has a gorgeous sister: queen Gemma Styles (they’ve definitely got their mom’s looks). Anyway, she’s four years older than him. They are really close, but they like to pick on each other once in a while, like every other brother and sister. Gemma has said that even though Harry’s a world superstar, he’ll always be her baby brother. Awww, how cute! Harry’s got a couple of tattoos dedicated to Gem and it seems like she had done that, too, but it’s not confirmed yet. Fans love her and they’ve even claimed that she’s the better Styles hahaha, what do you think?

Continuing with his music career, in his young years (as if he was that old lol), he was the lead singer in a band called “White Skimo”. Sixteen-year-old Harry decided to take the next step in his career and auditioned for UK version of “The X Factor”. He got through them, but was rejected at bootcamp. Genius Simon Cowell, realized he was too talented to let him go and decided to put him in a group with four other boys: Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. Some of the best decision ever made, Simon. Harry was the one who came up with the name “One Direction” and it stuck with them forever. And even though they ended up in third place, they are the BIGGEST boy band in the world! Their three albums have made it into the top charts in numerous times, they’ve won an impressive number of awards, they’ve toured around the world as well and they’ve got the best fanbase in the world (they have broken MANY records!).

Beside of being beyond talented, Mr. Styles is incredibly good-looking. Like, have you seen the boy? Hell yes, Harry is really handsome. He has great hair (short or long, we don’t care) and great body, he’s the full package. Have you even looked at his legs?!! He’s not real hahaha. And is not only the fact that he’s attractive, but he has an extremely good taste in clothes. Man knows how to dress, that’s always a plus, right ladies? Another thing that makes him insanely attractive is his husky voice. MAAAAAAAAAN. Don’t even get us started! British accent never sound so good before! Last physical feature we’ll mention: his eyes. Those green beautiful eyes. We could get lost in them for ages and we wouldn’t mind.  We don’t even know how to put in words his perfection, so, we’ll just leave it here. If you’ve seen him, then you definitely understand us, right? We know he’s got flaws, like every single one of us, but his imperfections makes him perfect.

Tattoos. They are few people in the world who can pull off tatts and Harry’s definitely one of them! He’s got quite a few now and it’s always exciting to see what he decides to ink into his skin! We were going to mention our favorite, but it’s just too damn hard to choose only one! All we want is to share a nice cup of coffee with him and talk about the stories behind every tattoo, are we really asking for too much?! We think not, hahaha.

But Harry’s best qualities are definitely his amazing personality and his big golden heart. Not to mention that he’s a really down-to-Earth guy and he has stayed humble throughout the years. He’s also a real gentleman and treats women as they should be treated, unlike the lies media loves to say about him. But he has always been kind to media & paparazzi, even when they don’t respect their privacy. As we’ve read once before, the world definitely needs to be as nice and respectful to Harry as he is to everyone! A lot of people need to remember that he’s trying to make the best out of everything, he’s enjoying life and the perks of being a superstar, he just wants to be happy! But hate has an effect on him, totally normal, ‘cause at the end, as Niall Horan said, he’s an ordinary guy that happens to have an extraordinary job!

Something that has stuck with us since we read it is something he wrote in One Direction’s autobiography “Where We Are” and it said:

“I haven’t learned any languages yet, but I really want to learn sign language. So many people can speak different languages, but if you could make a difference to that one person who can’t communicate it would be amazing. I met a girl and her mom in Ireland once and they both signed, and I signed “thank you” back to them and they couldn’t believe it.

If someone who was using sign language came to your show or your book signing and you could sign back to them, it would be such a good feeling. I think that’s much nicer than being able to order steak and chips in French. So the plan is to learn much more sign language as soon as I get the chance.”

This is the kind of stuff everyone should be focusing in and talking about! Harry’s an awesome human being! So stop ranting about stupid rumors and see what’s most important to see.

  

He’s great friends with Ed Sheeran, Nick Grimshaw, Lou Teasdale and many other awesome  and talented humans. He’s also said that Niall, Louis, Zayn and Liam are like his brothers.

Did we even mention he enjoys riding his motorcycle? Well, he does! He also plays football (soccer), badminton and guitar! Is there anything you can’t do, Harry?! You’re such a talented lad.

We could talk about his love life, but there has been said a lot about it already and we think everyone knows at least a rumor about it. So, let’s give it a break. We truly hope that he has someone in his life right now that appreciates, loves and cares about him and shows him how much he’s worth! And if he doesn’t, we’re sure that person will come around soon ‘cause Harry totally deserves it.

He usually tweets stuff no one understands hahaha, but we guess they’ll make sense someday. Hopefully!

To end with this post, we had to mention Harry’s unique sense of humor. Even though his band mates, family and other pals have said his jokes are not as funny as he thinks, Gee finds it HILARIOUS. Maybe it’s because her jokes are awful, too. Anyway, his famous “knock-knock” jokes are something you shouldn’t be missing out, they’ll put a smile on your face and brighten up your day!
