Graduations, parties, drama and music awards

Hello, it’s finally Scoop Saturday!!! It's One Direction-Little Mix-5 Seconds of Summer themed, so be ready haha.

Sad news for people in the US who were expecting to see Little Mix soon as they announced that their tour throughout the states was cancelled. A lot of fans were disappointed, but these girls said they always think about their fans before making a decision. Plus, they are postponing those dates because they are working on their third album! EHHHHH. NEW MUSIC. SO. FREAKING. EXCITING. We expect a lot of beautiful harmonies here and there, Little Mix. But being honest, they never let us down.

July 9th was an important day for Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, here’s why…

Eleanor Calder, commonly known as Louis’ girlfriend, finished another chapter in her academic life at The University of Manchester. Not only did she graduated in Sociology, but she did it with honors! Man, that’s amazing. Eleanor, YOU DA BEST. Eleanor’s definitely a dedicated student and joining Louis on tour, from time to time, didn’t stop her from getting a degree. She’s clearly having the best of both worlds! Hahaha. And Louis, being the amazing self he is, flew from Spain to Manchester in order to be with El in this special day. Awww, what a great boyfriend! Congratulations to the lovely Eleanor, she’s got a bright future!! She was recently spotted joining Louis on tour again :)

But wait, Louis is not the only great boyfriend in One Direction! Even though Zayn’s currently on a world stadium tour with his bandmates, he caught a flight to London and threw a fair themed birthday party for his gorgeous fiancé. Little Mix’s member, Perrie Edwards, turned 21 last july 10th, but celebrated one day earlier. A ferris wheels, cotton candy and bumper cars were involved, just to mention some of the amazing stuff about this celebration. Perrie’s closest friends and family joined her. And of course, her girls, Jade, Jesy and Leigh-Anne, were there, too! There are rumors flying around how much money Zayn spend on that birthday bash, but we rather not focus on that. Let’s focus on how an awesome boyfriend, soon-to-be husband, Zayn is! (And how cute these two look together!) We hope they all had fun and that Perrie had a great birthday! (That’s kind of obvious of course haha) Happy late birthday, girl!

Yet was another 1D thing this week, and this one is not that nice. There was a hashtag involved, #HappyEngagementElounor. God knows who and why someone started this rumor trending topic on Twitter, but it created a drama environment. LIKE A LOT. The sad thing here wasn't "noticing" that Louis wasn't available for us all, it was noticing that fans were stating the fact Louis isn't happy with Eleanor. Like, is he isn't happy with her, WHY THE HELL WOULD HE ATTEND TO A SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT MOMENT OF HER LIFE, LIKE HER GRADUATION?! We understand the fangirl life and all that jazz, 'cause after all, we are fangirls. But it seems that El is REALLY important to Louis. It wasn't necessary bring all that Larry Stylinson thing, not at all. We really hope directioners around the world will get this someday, and let's just be happy that Louis has someone like Eleanor in his life. And we don't think that Harry nor Louis enjoy it.

We've got other news not involving 1D, their girlfriends or Little Mix, directly of course. But, yes, they're friends with the British boy band, we're talking about the lads of 5 Seconds Of Summer. THEY ARE FREAKING PERFORMING AT MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS ON AUGUST. ASDFGHJKL. The lads were asked, and we all know that means they must be pretty damn good. Well done, Luke, Calum, Ash and Mikey! We love you. Sadly, they had to cancel their supporting acts for the 1D Where We Are Tour from Dallas and St. Louis. But don't worry, it's a REALLY BIG THING for the boys, so let's be happy for them. Yay, they're making it, and they're making it BIG.

That's all for today's Scoop Saturday. Let us know your thoughts on the comments down below. Don't forget to show us some love via social media.

Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2014

Hello, welcome to another Heck Yeah, It’s Monday!

Last saturday, London’s Wembley Stadium was the place where Capital FM’s Summertime Ball 2014 was held.

The line-up was:
  • Pharrell Williams
  • David Guetta
  • Ellie Goulding
  • Calvin Harris
  • Miley Cyrus
  • 5 Seconds of Summer
  • Enrique Iglesias
  • Cheryl Cole
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Rita Ora
  • The Vamps
  • Jessie J
  • Union J
  • Little Mix
  • Sam Smith
  • Austin Mahone
  • Clean Bandit
  • Iggy Azalea
  • Only The Young
And many others…

The STB was full of energy, fun, color and great performances. Every year they keep surprising us! This year’s ball was incredibly amazing! It left us speechless, so we’re writing it down for you.

Something that definitely surprised everyone, us included, was when Nathan Sykes joined Jessie J & DJ Cassidy to perform “Calling All Hearts”, a song she originally sings with Robin Thicke. Nathan gave it a different twist, making the song even better. Also, its was Nathan’s first solo performance, of course, after The Wanted’s break.

One of our fave bands, 5 Seconds of Summer, did a great job at the Summertime Ball. Ashton, Calum, Michael and Luke performed their hit singles “She looks so perfect” and “Don’t Stop”, as well as a cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”. Just a perfect first Summertime Ball experience!

And speaking of 5SOS and bands, the new British band Only The Young won a competition to perform their very first stadium show at this Capital Summertime Ball! Thanks to Vodafone -one of the festival’s sponsors- Mikey, Parisa, Betsy and Charlie were able to sing their hearts out as they were experiencing their first stadium show. Not gonna lie, I -Oddie- cried my heart out watching them perform. These guys were already used to being on stage as they were supporting acts for Jessie J, The Wanted, McFly and The Vamps. At the venue they met lots of artists, like Pharrell Williams, Iggy Azalea, Cheryl Cole, Austin Mahone and more. During and after the show, Only The Young hanged out with the lovely lads from 5SOS, George from Union J and the gorgeous Danielle Peazer. They even went out for a drink! WE WANNA HANG OUT WITH Y’ALL, GUYS!

If there’s a girl band we’d like to join, it would be Little Mix. These pretty ladies are the definition of girl power! Their amazing outfits and fierce moves, got everyone jumping and dancing at the STB. “Move” & “Salute”, singles from their latest album, were rocked out. After getting off stage, Leigh-Anne, Jade, Perrie and Jesy stayed around, supported other bands/singers and had an amazing time.

Ed Sheeran is another personal favorite. He enlightened us with the classics “Lego House”, “The A Team” and “You need me, I don’t need you”, but he also gave us a little taste of his newest album- “X” (Multiply)-, by singing “Sing” and “Thinking out Loud”. And talking about “X”, it comes out today!!!!! HANDS DOWN. You definitely need to get it!

We also got Austin Mahone with “Mmm Yeah”; Cheryl Cole sang “Crazy Stupid Love”, her 2010 hit “Fight For This Love” and “Call My Name”; Calvin Harris and David Guetta with their DJ sets; Clean Bandit performed “Rather Be” and “Extraordinary”; Due Dumont participated with Need U (100%)“” and “I Got U”; Ella Henderson sang “Ghost”; Ellie Goulding delighted us with her singles “Anything Could Happen”, “Burn”, “I Need You Love” and “Goodness Gracious”; Enrique Iglesias sang the famous “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)”, “I Like It”, “There Goes My Baby” and “I’m A Freak”; Iggy Azalea singing her hit “Fancy”; Jessie J performed “Wild”, “It’s My Party”, “Calling All Hearts” feat. Nathan Sykes & DJ Cassidy, “Price Tag”, “Domino” and “Ain’t Been Done”; Kiesza participated singing “Hideaway”; Miley Cyrus sang “Wrecking Ball”, the oldie “Party in the USA” and “We Can’t Stop”; Pharrell Williams performed his hit “Happy”, “Frontin”, “Get Lucky”, “Marilyn Monroe” and the famous “Blurred Lines”; we could watch Rita Ora singing “How We Do (Party And BS)” and “I Will Never Let You Down”; the band Rixton performed their single “Me And My Broken Heart”; The Vamps sang their songs “Can We Dance”, “Wild Heart”, “Last Night” and “Somebody To You” and boyband Union J performed their singles “Carry You” and “Tonight (We Live Forever)”. Unfortunately, Sam Smith had to pull out of the ball due to illness.

If you wanna check out all the performances, there are videos for all of them in Capital FM website (http://www.capitalfm.com/summertime-ball/videos/performances/).

That’s all for this looooong Heck Yeah, It’s Monday! post. Remember to leave your comments down below or in our social media. See you tomorrow, pals!
