Maxi dresses

Hello, everybody! It's a Beauty Wednesday and today we bring to you the maxi dresses!

They're the perfect clothing item for summer, and not only this summer, EVERY SUMMER! There are two main types of maxi dresses: loose ones and tight ones.

Loose maxi dresses give you that nice boho, edgy & trendy vibe. They're the most comfy maxi dresses ever! They're super loose and pretty, and they will be your best friends if you don't like to show a lot your body or wear tight clothes (you're beautiful, though, always remember that). You can pair a maxi dress with your favorite sandals, sneakers, pumps or boots. Tip: a maxi dress and converse is a winner's outfit.

On the other hand, tight maxi dresses are a perfect way to show off your curves. HIPS DON’T LIE, BABYYYYYY. They are not THAT tight, but they are definitely more fitting to your body than the loose ones. You can wear them casually or you can add a nice blazer and you’ll be ready for a formal event.

The thing about maxi dresses is that they’re usually made out of flowy and light materials, that’s why they are great for summer. You won’t feel like dying of heat while wearing them, plus you'll be super comfy.

There are solid and patterned maxi dresses; from the basic black to striped to flowered. Neon maxi dresses look really good, too. There are also maxi dresses with sheer fabric: just at the end of a short dress or over the short dress, so it's like showing off that beautiful short dress but with a little sheerness over it. Cool, right?

The designs are endless, 'cause we have strapless maxi dresses, short sleeve maxi dresses, strap maxi dresses, some of them have pockets and/or thigh high splits & cut out designs, ankle-length & full floor-length maxi dresses, etc. Seriously, there are TONS of combinations for these amazing dresses. So, we assure you that you'll find the right one.

Besides, you can accessorize your maxi dress and make it so you! Think about it: different necklaces, chokers necklaces, hats, bracelets, rings, belts, jackets & coats, bags & backpacks, purses & clutches, scarves, shoes, etc. Whatever you add to your maxi dress outfit will make it even more wonderful.

Decide to dress like a celebrity, you're pretty like them, so go embrace that girl power and wear a maxi dress like Vanessa Hudgens, Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Momsen, Sofia Vergara and many more. Maxi dresses are for every type of body, girls!

And, this beauty Wednesday has come to an end :( But, look out tomorrow for a Travel Thursday post, and next week for another Beauty Wednesday :) Remember you can stay on touch with us through our social networks, we'd love to hear from you.

Have a nice day!

Peace out, x.

Neon signs

Something we’re currently obsessed with is neon signs. What started as signs for restaurants, bars, pubs and many more establishments now is a trendy way to decor. We love the vibe that they give to any room, bedrooms in particular. They transmit this edgy and modern look to a room, YOU CAN LITERALLY GIVE A 360° CHANGE TO THE ROOM.

We’ve seen a lot of different ones, the majority of them are quotes and sayings. Some of them are people's names. Think about it, you can even put a neon sign with the name of your favorite singer, band, actor, actress, brand, whatever or whoever you think about! It could also be an image: ice creams, headphones, dogs, clouds, etc.

The most popular ones are the white, pink and red ones, but you can use your favorite color, because they all look amazing!!! Green, purple, blue, teal, the color options are endless.

There are tons of cool fonts for these signs, from the simple Arial to great cursive fonts. You just gotta give it your very own style using one of your favorite fonts.

And, of course, you're gonna need to turn it off at nights. It’s the same as with the Christmas lights, we don't want to cause a fire, another kind of accident or expensive energy bills. But you can have it on for a little while when you’re chilling in your room, when you have friends coming over or when you need a little light in your room/life to cheer you up :)

You just need to go to a place where they make this kind of things (like where they sell all kind of lighting for interiors and/or exteriors) and they’ll customize it for you! Obviously, prices will vary depending on the size, color and font.

This is it for today! We hope you like this and try using neon signs to decor your place, promise it will look great. Share pictures and comments with us on our social networks, we’ll be really happy to hear from you!

Have a lovely day, everyone.

Peace out, x.

Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2014

Hello, welcome to another Heck Yeah, It’s Monday!

Last saturday, London’s Wembley Stadium was the place where Capital FM’s Summertime Ball 2014 was held.

The line-up was:
  • Pharrell Williams
  • David Guetta
  • Ellie Goulding
  • Calvin Harris
  • Miley Cyrus
  • 5 Seconds of Summer
  • Enrique Iglesias
  • Cheryl Cole
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Rita Ora
  • The Vamps
  • Jessie J
  • Union J
  • Little Mix
  • Sam Smith
  • Austin Mahone
  • Clean Bandit
  • Iggy Azalea
  • Only The Young
And many others…

The STB was full of energy, fun, color and great performances. Every year they keep surprising us! This year’s ball was incredibly amazing! It left us speechless, so we’re writing it down for you.

Something that definitely surprised everyone, us included, was when Nathan Sykes joined Jessie J & DJ Cassidy to perform “Calling All Hearts”, a song she originally sings with Robin Thicke. Nathan gave it a different twist, making the song even better. Also, its was Nathan’s first solo performance, of course, after The Wanted’s break.

One of our fave bands, 5 Seconds of Summer, did a great job at the Summertime Ball. Ashton, Calum, Michael and Luke performed their hit singles “She looks so perfect” and “Don’t Stop”, as well as a cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”. Just a perfect first Summertime Ball experience!

And speaking of 5SOS and bands, the new British band Only The Young won a competition to perform their very first stadium show at this Capital Summertime Ball! Thanks to Vodafone -one of the festival’s sponsors- Mikey, Parisa, Betsy and Charlie were able to sing their hearts out as they were experiencing their first stadium show. Not gonna lie, I -Oddie- cried my heart out watching them perform. These guys were already used to being on stage as they were supporting acts for Jessie J, The Wanted, McFly and The Vamps. At the venue they met lots of artists, like Pharrell Williams, Iggy Azalea, Cheryl Cole, Austin Mahone and more. During and after the show, Only The Young hanged out with the lovely lads from 5SOS, George from Union J and the gorgeous Danielle Peazer. They even went out for a drink! WE WANNA HANG OUT WITH Y’ALL, GUYS!

If there’s a girl band we’d like to join, it would be Little Mix. These pretty ladies are the definition of girl power! Their amazing outfits and fierce moves, got everyone jumping and dancing at the STB. “Move” & “Salute”, singles from their latest album, were rocked out. After getting off stage, Leigh-Anne, Jade, Perrie and Jesy stayed around, supported other bands/singers and had an amazing time.

Ed Sheeran is another personal favorite. He enlightened us with the classics “Lego House”, “The A Team” and “You need me, I don’t need you”, but he also gave us a little taste of his newest album- “X” (Multiply)-, by singing “Sing” and “Thinking out Loud”. And talking about “X”, it comes out today!!!!! HANDS DOWN. You definitely need to get it!

We also got Austin Mahone with “Mmm Yeah”; Cheryl Cole sang “Crazy Stupid Love”, her 2010 hit “Fight For This Love” and “Call My Name”; Calvin Harris and David Guetta with their DJ sets; Clean Bandit performed “Rather Be” and “Extraordinary”; Due Dumont participated with Need U (100%)“” and “I Got U”; Ella Henderson sang “Ghost”; Ellie Goulding delighted us with her singles “Anything Could Happen”, “Burn”, “I Need You Love” and “Goodness Gracious”; Enrique Iglesias sang the famous “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)”, “I Like It”, “There Goes My Baby” and “I’m A Freak”; Iggy Azalea singing her hit “Fancy”; Jessie J performed “Wild”, “It’s My Party”, “Calling All Hearts” feat. Nathan Sykes & DJ Cassidy, “Price Tag”, “Domino” and “Ain’t Been Done”; Kiesza participated singing “Hideaway”; Miley Cyrus sang “Wrecking Ball”, the oldie “Party in the USA” and “We Can’t Stop”; Pharrell Williams performed his hit “Happy”, “Frontin”, “Get Lucky”, “Marilyn Monroe” and the famous “Blurred Lines”; we could watch Rita Ora singing “How We Do (Party And BS)” and “I Will Never Let You Down”; the band Rixton performed their single “Me And My Broken Heart”; The Vamps sang their songs “Can We Dance”, “Wild Heart”, “Last Night” and “Somebody To You” and boyband Union J performed their singles “Carry You” and “Tonight (We Live Forever)”. Unfortunately, Sam Smith had to pull out of the ball due to illness.

If you wanna check out all the performances, there are videos for all of them in Capital FM website (http://www.capitalfm.com/summertime-ball/videos/performances/).

That’s all for this looooong Heck Yeah, It’s Monday! post. Remember to leave your comments down below or in our social media. See you tomorrow, pals!

Have a lovely day :)
